Zoom teeth whitening.

Teeth Whitening Service in Baton Rouge - Tiger Smile Family DentistryIn-office procedure. It requires the use of a bleaching light, bleaching gel, and an anti-sensitivity treatment. This lasts about one hour and can whiten your teeth up to 8 shades lighter.

At-home treatment. This option uses whitening formulas in a custom bleaching tray made to fit specifically to your teeth.

Our patients have seen positive results using either treatment. With our teeth whitening systems, we will monitor your progress through maintenance appointments to make sure you are getting the results you want.

There are plenty of reasons why the teeth become discolored:

  • Genes
  • Age
  • Teeth injury
  • Medicines
  • Smoking
  • Intake of stain-causing food and drinks over time
  • Too much fluoride

This specific dental care treatment will give you that much needed boost in confidence. With our available whitening services in our Baton Rouge dental center, you can guarantee a set of pearly whites again.

There are so many benefits that you can get out of our teeth whitening procedure here at Tiger Smile Family Dentistry. Some of them are:

  • Anti-aging. Having whiter teeth will make you look younger and also make you feel younger. This is because white teeth is associated with youth and beauty. And naturally, we all look younger when we smile and when we like our smile, we smile more!
  • Boosts confidence & self-esteem. Your smile is usually one of the first things that people notice about you, so make sure you dazzle them with a set of pearly whites. Through teeth whitening, persistent teeth stain may be significantly diminished.
  • Easy to maintain. Maintaining your teeth only requires proper oral care at home such as brushing and flossing your teeth. Other products can also be used upon the recommendation of your dentist.

Does Teeth Whitening Work On All Teeth?

One of the most important things that you should remember when it comes to this dental procedure is that it doesn’t work for everyone. This is why it is highly recommended that you visit a dentist first.

For example, yellow teeth may respond well to teeth whitening whilst brown teeth or gray ones may not. You also have to keep in mind that this will not work on veneers, crowns, or fillings.

It also won’t be effective when your tooth discoloration is caused by medications or tooth injury.

Side Effects

There are some people who may experience tooth sensitivity following a teeth whitening procedure. The same thing applies to procedures done via teeth bleaching products.

This occurs when the peroxide in the whitener gets through the enamel to the soft layer of the dentin thus causing an irritation to the nerve of your tooth. In most cases, such sensitivity is only temporary. Should you experience this, you can delay treatment for a couple of days and try again once it subsides.

About Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge is a city has many places that are waiting to be discovered. If you’re into oddities and the unexpected, then you come to the right place. Here are some attractions that will truly make your stay in capital memorable.

LSU’s Mike the Tiger

Come See Mike the Tiger who became the icon of American college football. So how did an animal native to Asia became LSU’s live mascot? In 1934, the students raised $750 dollars to buy a tiger from the Little Rock Zoo and hence named Mike after the Athletic Director trainer Mike Chambers who had led the campaign to bring live big cat on campus. The first Mike the tiger is now taxidermied and on displays at the university’s Museum of Natural Science. Since then many Mikes followed.

National Hansen’s Disease Museum

It may sound like a not so ideal to end your Baton Rouge tour in a high note, but National Hansen’s Disease Museum holds the title of one of the must-see places in the city. The museum first opened its doors in 1999 displaying exhibits on the history of Louisiana Leper Home, its patients, and staff, as well as the people of Daughters of Charity St. Vincent de Paul who overtook the hospital during 1896. The museum also offers education on the disease.
