There are so many benefits that you can get out of our teeth whitening procedure here at Tiger Smile Family Dentistry. Some of them are:
One of the most important things that you should remember when it comes to this dental procedure is that it doesn’t work for everyone. This is why it is highly recommended that you visit a dentist first.
For example, yellow teeth may respond well to teeth whitening whilst brown teeth or gray ones may not. You also have to keep in mind that this will not work on veneers, crowns, or fillings.
It also won’t be effective when your tooth discoloration is caused by medications or tooth injury.
There are some people who may experience tooth sensitivity following a teeth whitening procedure. The same thing applies to procedures done via teeth bleaching products.
This occurs when the peroxide in the whitener gets through the enamel to the soft layer of the dentin thus causing an irritation to the nerve of your tooth. In most cases, such sensitivity is only temporary. Should you experience this, you can delay treatment for a couple of days and try again once it subsides.

LSU’s Mike the Tiger
Come See Mike the Tiger who became the icon of American college football. So how did an animal native to Asia became LSU’s live mascot? In 1934, the students raised $750 dollars to buy a tiger from the Little Rock Zoo and hence named Mike after the Athletic Director trainer Mike Chambers who had led the campaign to bring live big cat on campus. The first Mike the tiger is now taxidermied and on displays at the university’s Museum of Natural Science. Since then many Mikes followed.
National Hansen’s Disease Museum
It may sound like a not so ideal to end your Baton Rouge tour in a high note, but National Hansen’s Disease Museum holds the title of one of the must-see places in the city. The museum first opened its doors in 1999 displaying exhibits on the history of Louisiana Leper Home, its patients, and staff, as well as the people of Daughters of Charity St. Vincent de Paul who overtook the hospital during 1896. The museum also offers education on the disease.
