Dr. Luong is a native of New Orleans and moved to Baton Rouge in the summer of 2013. She is married to Michael Tran and has 2 boys, Popcorn (morkiepoo) and Tofu (toy poodle). She speaks both English and Vietnamese and has been very active in her Vietnamese church community all of her life. She enjoys volunteering and has taken part in many health fairs and patient education events.

She loves to spend time caring for and educating children. During her high school and college years she taught piano lessons for children ages 5 to 17 and also taught Vietnamese language to kindergarten students. She believes in a good foundation of oral care for children at an early age and enjoys seeing children in the dental office to show them how to take good care of their teeth and gums.

Continuing education is very important to her so that she is able to give the best care possible, so she routinely attends courses to stay updated with the newest research and technology. Dr. Luong is very excited and honored to be a provider here at Tiger Smile and looks forward to giving you and your entire family quality service and care.

Dr. Michael J. Montalbano, Jr.

Dr. Montalbano, better known as “Dr. Mike”, is a native of Baton Rouge. He is married to DeEtte Crifasi and has 2 grown children, Michael and Kerrie. He also has 2 grandchildren by Kerrie – Evie and Stella. He is a very active member of his community and participates in many different extracurricular clubs and organizations.

Dr. Mike’s philosophy: enjoy what you do and do what you enjoy. That being said, he enjoys fishing and music, and spends a lot of time in pursuit of speckled trout and redfish these days. He has played the guitar since high school and also participated in several rock bands during his high school and college years.

Even after 35 years, he still enjoys dentistry very much and loves experiencing the joys of the profession that can be life changing for many patients. He continues to further his education routinely to better serve his patients. He is proud to be a part of the Tiger Smile family and will continue to brighten more smiles and change more lives.
